From the airport, follow the FV-2 south towards Morro Jable (this is well-signposted). Passing through Caleta de Fuste and driving past Gran Tarajal, Tarajalejo and Oasis Park. A new section of motorway (the Eje Norte-Sur) starts not long after Oasis Park / La Lajita; take the first exit, signposted as Costa Calma, Pajara and La Pared.
If you continue to follow the motorway, it bypasses Costa Calma, though there are a number of exits for the resort, so there is no need to panic if you miss the first turn.
The only direct bus runs just a few times a day between the Airport and Costa Calma. This is the number 10 bus from Puerto del Rosario to Morro Jable (timetable). It costs €7.55 per person, each way. On Saturdays, Sunday and public holidays the buses run even less frequently, so do check the timetable.
Alternatively, you could get the frequent number 3 bus to the bus station in Puerto del Rosario (timetable) and then get the number 1 bus (timetable) from there. The number 1 bus goes to Morro Jable, but stops at the bus station in Costa Calma on the way.
There are plenty of taxis available from Fuerteventura airport. It usually costs about €75 for a taxi from the airport to Costa Calma, so it’s not the cheapest option out there.
By Airport Transfer
An alternative to paying high prices for a taxi, is to book an Airport Transfer in advance. Airport Transfers are a much more convenient option than getting the public bus as they drop you right outside of your Hotel, meaning no lugging of suitcases. Prices are around €12 per person, each way. This is also a good option if you are travelling in a large group and a lot more economical than paying for a number of taxis.
