From the airport, follow the FV-2 south towards Morro Jable (this is well-signposted). Passing through Caleta de Fuste and driving past Gran Tarajal, Tarajalejo and Oasis Park. A new section of motorway (the Eje Norte-Sur) starts not long after Oasis Park / La Lajita; take the first exit, signposted as Costa Calma, Pajara and La Pared.
If you continue to follow the motorway, it bypasses Costa Calma, though there are a number of exits for the resort, so there is no need to panic if you miss the first turn.

By Bus

The only direct bus runs just a few times a day between the Airport and Costa Calma. This is the number 10 bus from Puerto del Rosario to Morro Jable (timetables). It costs €7.55 per person, each way. On Saturdays, Sunday and public holidays the buses run even less frequently, so do check the timetable. For the return journey to the airport, this bus is is often already full before arriving in Costa Calma, for this reason, it is advisable to book a transfer for your return to the airport (or be prepared to get a taxi).

Alternatively, you could get the frequent number 3 bus to the bus station in Puerto del Rosario (timetables) and then get the number 1 bus (timetables) from there. The number 1 bus goes to Morro Jable, but stops in Costa Calma on the way.

By Taxi

There are plenty of taxis available from Fuerteventura airport. It usually costs about €89 – €102 for a taxi from the airport to Costa Calma, so it’s not the cheapest option out there.

By Airport Transfer

An alternative to paying high prices for a taxi, is to book an Airport Transfer in advance. Airport Transfers are a much more convenient option than getting the public bus as they drop you right outside of your Hotel, meaning no lugging of suitcases. Prices are around €12 per person, each way. This is also a good option if you are travelling in a large group and a lot more economical than paying for a number of taxis. Please note that you cannot purchase a ticket for a shuttle bus upon arrival at the airport, so if you want to use this service, you must book your seat in advance. I am flying out and land tomorrow morning at 11:40am. We are staying in costa Calma and are struggling to sort a coach / bus transfer as it’s such a last minute holiday.

What would you suggest is best please? How much is a taxi going to be, if we have to get a taxi.

    Thanks so much!

I need to go from Costa Calma to the Airport on Sunday 16th March for a 12:40 flight. Looking at google maps i see there is only one Bus at 9:11 am.
    1. Will booking a shuttle be reliable? Is there enough time/spaces to get to the airport if they stop at multiple hotels?
    2. Is there just one morning bus from Costa? Would it be full/ no spaces if that’s the only bus for the island?
    3. Looks like Sunday morning travel has no margin of error. Do you know any local Taxi numbers?
