By Car
From the airport, follow the FV-2 south, following the signs towards Morro Jable. Continue through the roundabouts in El Matorral, past the industrial estate on your left and the subsequent roundabout for Costa Antigua (Nuevo Horizonte). As you enter Caleta de Fuste you will see a small ‘castle’ on a roundabout, you are now in the resort.
NB: Some road signs may say El Castillo – this is another name for Caleta de Fuste.

By Bus
There are two bus routes between the airport and Caleta de Fuste.
Bus Route number 3 (Timetables)
This runs quite regularly from Puerto del Rosario and goes as far as the Salinas (salt pans), just south of Caleta de Fuste. At peak hours of the day there are up to 4 buses per hour. Check the timetable, as certain buses terminate in Caleta de Fuste whilst others skip the stops in Costa Antigua. The entire journey costs €1.45, which is by far the most economical option, especially if travelling alone or not hiring a car.
Bus Route number 10 (Timetables)
This bus runs from Puerto del Rosario and travels all the way down to Morro Jable in the south of the island. The buses on this route are a lot less frequent, running 4 times a day Monday to Friday and less on weekends and during public holidays.
We have given this option as it may well be the first bus available at the airport depending on your time of arrival.
By Taxi
There are plenty of taxis available at the airport. It costs around €12-16 for a taxi from the airport to Caleta de Fuste, depending on where in the resort you are staying. Caleta de Fuste is the closest resort to the airport, so the taxi fares are quite reasonable.
By Airport Transfer
A pre-booked Airport Transfer offers the convenience of being dropped off directly at your Hotel, for less than the cost of a taxi (about €8 per person) and without the hassle of lugging suitcases from the closest bus stop. However, since Caleta de Fuste is so close to the Airport, a taxi is likely to be a lot faster than a shared transfer (and not much more expensive). Please note that you cannot purchase a ticket for a shuttle bus upon arrival at the airport, so if you want to use this service, you must book your seat in advance. The terminus for this route is at Las Salinas, which is only 2 or 3 minutes away, so it would be best to be at the bus stop at the time indicated for Las Salinas in the timetable.

Hello, I travelled to Caleta del Fueste (I had never been to Fuerteventua before) – and pre-booked a coach from the airport to the hotel next to my accommodation (because it would be cheap 8 Euros each way). However,…. the coach driver was very rude to all the passengers and swore in Spanish, he would not let us know where we were (it was dark) but instead shouted out the names in an incomprehensible way – he behaved in an appalling way from beginning to end. To get to my apartment it took almost 2 hours as he went to every hotel en-route and was not in a hurry to help anyone!!! I was the last stop, and he didn’t even drop me in the right place (he stopped early and picked up a woman – perhaps his girlfriend or wife?).. and I had to get help to get to my apartment. Truly shocking. I would NEVER book a bus again. Much better a taxi – I got a taxi back to the airport, it was excellent and not expensive at all – took 10 minutes… BEWARE!!
